Justin Nolan

Justin Nolan is a distinguished art historian and long‑serving educator at Eton College, known for his deep knowledge of European art and decades of experience teaching and lecturing. Having led numerous art study tours and contributed to public programmes at major cultural institutions, he brings a sharp, insightful eye to judging. His approach balances technical understanding, historical context, and a genuine commitment to encouraging emerging artistic talent.

Rachel Barker

Rachel Barker

Rachel Barker FRSA ACR is a founding director of Rachel Barker Associates, London, a high-level consultancy offering collection care, collection research, conservation education and the conservation and restoration of modern and contemporary art.  Rachel previously worked at Tate for twenty years during which time she was involved in a number of high profile projects including the conservation of the vandalised Mark Rothko ‘Untitled, Black on Maroon’ in 2012. This restoration received global recognition and the project won the Anna Plowden Award for Research in Conservation in 2015.

Soozy Barker

Soozy Barker

Soozy Barker is a contemporary British artist with international recognition and published works. She has served as both Resident Artist and Director at The Barker Gallery in Eton for over two decades.

Celebrated for her evocative abstract pieces, Soozy draws much of her inspiration from the natural world, creating work that resonates deeply with viewers.

Her art is held in numerous private and corporate collections across the UK and internationally, earning her widespread acclaim.

In addition to her own practice, Soozy has worked extensively as an art dealer and curator, representing a diverse range of artists. She has exhibited at more than 40 art fairs and regularly advises emerging and established artists on marketing and selling their work.

As a judge for the En Plein Air competition at Eton Arts Week, Soozy brings a wealth of experience and a passion for all painting styles, offering thoughtful insight and a keen eye shaped by years in the contemporary art scene.
