Our historic town has so much to offer visitors – whether you’re here for the day, a weekend or a short break.
Eton is immersed in history and fascinating architecture, not just with the world famous College buildings, but right the way through the town. Our pretty High Street is packed with restaurants, small independent cafés, bars and a host of characterful, traditional pubs.
We are just five minutes walk over the Windsor & Eton Bridge from the heart of Windsor, 15 minutes drive from Ascot, 10 minutes drive from Windsor Legoland Resort and 50 minutes by train or road from London.
If you’d like some tips on what to see, do or eat while in Eton or would like to pick up some local souvenirs, you’ll find the Visitor Centre at 67 High Street, Eton, SL4 6AA, right next to Côte Brasserie, just over Windsor Bridge.
Eton Spring Ball & Grand Auction
It’s that time of the year again when we are getting prepared for the very popular Eton Spring Ball. Held at the Castle Hotel on Saturday 21st March it promises to be another great evening of entertainment, fun and dancing. And importantly a great fundraising auction, raising funds for Eton Information Centre.
Closer to the date of the ball we’ll be publicising some of the fantastic auction lots that will be available this year. So do come back again soon to find out about some of the exciting prizes that will be on offer.
Eton Information Centre Scoops Top Award
We are delighted to be awarded Gold at the 2025 Beautiful South Tourism Awards for Excellence in the Tourist Information Service category.
Run by Tourism South East, the Beautiful South Tourism Awards celebrate excellence in tourism and hospitality across the South East of England. Categories cover accommodation, food, experiences, sustainability and accessibility. There are also awards such as ‘Unsung Hero’ and ‘Dog Friendly Business of the Year’.
